Founded in the Peten jungle- the largest remaining tropical forest of Central America, Itza Wood  actually spearheaded a reforestation project, planting 45,000 trees in the heart of the jungle before touching any tree. With a firm belief in community, they provide not only favorable work environments and wages to their artisans in Peten but also invest in education through the Jungle School- a preschool, elementary, and high school for underprivileged children. Every handcrafted piece by their artisans carry their story and the story of the jungle and community they continue to protect.
