A note from France: Always on the lookout for beautiful handmade wooden pieces , I'm so excited to carry this piece by Itza Wood- a business based in Guatemala with a deep commitment on social impact and sustainability. Founded in the Peten jungle- the largest remaining tropical forest of Central America, Itza Wood  actually spearheaded a reforestation project, planting 45,000 trees in the heart of the jungle before touching any tree. With a firm belief in community, they provide not only favorable work environments and wages to their artisans in Peten but also invest in education through the Jungle School- a preschool, elementary, and high school for underprivileged children. Every handcrafted piece by their artisans carry their story and the story of the jungle and community they continue to protect.

This wooden spice scoop is handcrafted by artisans in Peten, Guatemala using FSC certified tiger wood and ziricote wood.

Approximately 2" diameter

Gently wash with warm, soapy water but never leave it sitting in water. Do not put scoop in dishwasher. Handwoods will last a lifetime with a little care. Use food safe mineral oil or any other natural oil that does not turn rancid once a week for the first month of use and then periodically to restore vibrancy when the wood dulls.
