A note from France: Kwento (a Filipino noun that means story) is a collaboration by France and Cecilia of So Niice.

This collection is a coming together of 2 stories— two Filipinas born across the Pacific from each other, yet rooted in a shared heritage and love for intentional design. The silk in each piece is hand dyed by France, a former early childhood educator of 14 years turned natural dye textile artist, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Through her work with natural fibers, plants, and kitchen waste, she aims to turn her memories of the Philippines, her love for her San Diego home, and every journey in between into tangible pieces for others to enjoy. The gold hardware and handcrafted charms were chosen by Cecilia, a former creative director and native San Diegan who found her true passion in designing delicate jewelry. Cecilia believes that personal treasures such as jewelry, need to have a special meaning to the wearer. Her belief in thoughtful design is evident through her work— showcasing that every detail and every intention, no matter how small, goes a long way in reminding others to become the best versions of themselves to spread positivity, light, and love into the world.
