  • A note from France: Isugal (i.su.gál) - A Filipino word that means to risk something, to gamble something. This piece is named after that time, a year or so into my marriage when my husband and I decided to make Yangon, Myanmar his temporary home to open a Filipino food truck with a Burmese twist. It was such a big risk, a gamble. There are many lessons to be learned from that season- some moments to celebrate, and other moments to let go of and learn from. What's the biggest risk you've taken? Would you do something similar again?
