Amihan (Silk Crepe)
A note from France: Amihan (noun) amihan || Refered to as the cool and dry notheast wind in the Philippines, it is also a character in a Philippine legend. This piece is inspired by the legend of Amihan, said to be a bird who saved the first humans Malakas (strong) and Maganda (beautiful) from the war between Bathala (god of sky) and Aman Sinaya (god of sea) by pecking the bamboos they were born in and flying them to one of the islands.
This 100% silk crepe de chine is naturally dyed with weld, rusty nails, lily stargazers, and logwood chips. Please note that silk crepe de chine is sheer and has a subtle sheen. Hand rolled hem.
