A note from France: Makulay - (adjective) ma·kú·lay || A Filipino word that translates to colorful. I named this piece Makulay for obvious reasons; it is colorful and bright, cheerful and evokes a feeling of happiness. In the Philippines, there's also a statement often said "Makulay ang buhay" which translates to "Life is colorful". Life is definitely colorful but I also hope that through this piece and through its purchase, we are reminded that while we all go through different colorful seasons of our lives, it is important to help others and be a beacon of hope, of color for those who may need it.
This 100% cotton textile is hand dyed with eucalyptus leaves, anemones, ranunculus, and scabiosas. Please take note that this piece is approximately 23" x 24" and would be too small for a scarf. It is best used as a bandana, headband, or wall art. Hemmed.
